Directorate General Of Immigration And Passports Jobs March 2024: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports NTS Jobs 2024 has opened new opportunities for applications as reported in the Daily Dawn Newspaper. The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) is inviting applications for numerous vacant positions from Pakistani citizens.
Candidates from Punjab, KPK, Sindh Rural and Urban, Balochistan, GB, EX-FATA, and AJK are eligible to apply. All positions are allocated based on quotas. Additionally, a 2% disabled quota will be observed as per Government policy.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports is currently recruiting for various positions, including Assistant, Stenotypist, Data Entry Operator, Printing staff, UDC, Call Centre Agent, Generator Operator, AC Technician, Electrician, LDC, Dispatch Rider, Support Staff, Helper/Runner/Oven Operator/Cleaners, Naib Qasid, Farash, and Sweeper.
Applicants with Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Intermediate, Matric, Middle, Primary, and literacy qualifications are eligible to apply. For Stenotypist and data entry operators, a shorthand and typing speed of 80/40 wpm and a minimum speed of 10,000 key depressions are required. For LDC, a typing speed of 30 wpm is also required.
Interested candidates applying for posts from Serial # 1-12 must apply online through the NTS website www.nts.org.pk and deposit the processing fee through Easy paisa, Jazz Cash, Mobile Banking, and ATM internet. Candidates applying for posts from serial # 13-19 should also apply online through NTS but are not required to deposit the fee. The last date for applications is April 8, 2024.
The age limit is 18-25 years, with a general age relaxation of 5 years applicable to all candidates as per Government rules. Further relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for specific categories. Three years for candidates belonging to scheduled casts, Buddhist Community, three years for candidates belonging to Sindh (R) and Balochistan for posts in BPS – 15 and below.
Fifteen years of age relaxation is applicable for retired armed forces personnel, five years for widows, sons/daughters of deceased civil servants, and ten years for disabled persons. Individuals already employed in the Government sector should apply through the proper channels and provide a NOC at the time of the interview.

Age Relaxation:
- A general age relaxation of 05 years will be applicable to all candidates as per Government Rules. Further relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for specific categories of candidates as detailed below:
- By three years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of the Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, and Northern Areas.
- By three years for candidates belonging to Sindh (R) and Balochistan for posts in BPS-15 and below under the Federal Government.
- By fifteen years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less, for Released or personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
- By ten years up to the age of 55 years for in-service Government servants who have completed 2 years continuous Government service on the closing date for receipt of applications.
- By ten years for disabled persons for appointment to posts in BPS-15 and below.
- By five years for widow, son, or daughter of a deceased civil servant who died during service.
General Instructions:
- Persons in Government Service shall provide a NOC at the time of the Interview.
- Directorate General, Immigration & Passports encourages and provides equal opportunities to female applicants.
- Successful candidates against the Posts mentioned at Sr. No. 01, 07 & 08 have to complete the mandatory NITB Course during 1 year of the probation period.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible for the test/interview.
- A 2% Disabled quota as per Government Policy will be observed.
- The last date and time for the closing of applications are 8th April 2024, 23:59 PST. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
- In case a person does not fulfill any of the provisions contained in the Recruitment Rules of that post, the department may cancel his/her candidature and withdraw the nomination of the candidate at any stage.
- The department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process in part or whole, increase/decrease the number of posts as per requirement against any post at any stage without assigning any reasons.
