The Walled City of Lahore Authority is a semi-governmental organization based in Lahore, Pakistan. It was established and is funded by the Government of Punjab with the aim of conserving, planning, developing, regulating, and managing the historic Walled City of Lahore.
Operating autonomously, the authority was formed in 2012 following the amendment of the Walled City of Lahore Bill 2011 by the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. Its responsibilities include overseeing the preservation of heritage sites within the area, imposing penalties for any damage to buildings, and managing the affairs of the Old City of Lahore.
Additionally, the authority plays a role in promoting cultural activities and tourism within Lahore.
